Enroll in any of the below workshops for your own development, or complete two core workshops and two of the elective workshops to earn an Earth Citizens Certificate. Held at the ECO Community Center with a kick-off orientation on Thursday, June 27 at 1 pm.

Use your body, and learn how to improve your health through increased flexibility, stamina, and joint mobility. You will learn how to increase your energy, heal your body and calm your mind. Master Andy Cho brings years of experience in practicing and teaching Tao principles, Tai Chi, Martial Arts and the benefits of accupressure.
Introduction to Tree Healthcare

This workshop covers tree anatomy and growth, planting practices, pruning and maintenance, common pests, and diseases and hazards. Jason was trained by Bartlett Tree experts and held an ISA Certifiion.
Ten Steps to Successful Vegetable Gardening

Master Gardener Karen Kumar
This presentation covers essential steps in successfully growing vegetables in our unique area of the Verde Valley. We will discuss selecting appropriate garden sites, choosing seasonal and suitable vegetable crops, sourcing seed and transplants and soil preparation. Participants will learn about irrigation, dealing with pests, garden problem solving and the ultimate goal: peak harvesting.

You will learn the science behind climate change and how industrial farming is negatively impacting our planet, and then how farms like ECO’s sustainable practices help combat environmental issues. Marcus has a chemistry degree with studies in advanced environmental chemistry.
Preparing Healthy Natural Meals for Less

Chef, Teree Settembrino will demostrate how to use healthy natural food to create nutritious healthy meal. Following the demonstration, participabnts can enjoy what was created for a delicious lunch.
Run Your Farm Like an Enrepreneur

This workshop covers the basics of business planning and marketing whether you dream of a homestread business, launching a nonprofit org, or partnering to start up a farm. Jill holds a Master’s of Enrepreneurship from Western Carolina University.
